Grebastica

Grebastica (Ital. Sebenico Vecchio- Old Sibenik)has placed in Sibenik-Knin county. 13 km southern from city of Sibenik.


Grebastica has mentioned first time 1298. year as a Grebac.
The remains of Roman buildings prove that a Roman settlement existed here. A stone lid of a Roman sarcophagus was found in the village cemetery near the church of Sts. Petar and Marija, and some remains of the Roman road in stone can still be seen.

Šibenik Italian: (Sebenico) is a historic city in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea.

Šibenik is a political, educational, transport, industrial and tourist center of Šibenik–Knin County and also the third-largest city in the historic region of Dalmatia. It is the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the sea.
